Super-grass Tzvetkoff living la dolce vita in Australia

News on 23 Oct 2015

The man who helped bring down some of the world’s largest online poker companies five years ago by turning informer to save his own skin, Daniel Tzvetkoff (32) is reportedly back in Australia and  sufficiently wealthy to live the good life on the Gold Coast.

The Courier-Mail newspaper reports that its investigative team tracked down the erstwhile high profile multi-millionaire, who is now living in a high-security waterfront mansion when he is not travelling, socialising and eating in top restaurants.

The newspaper has not been able to discover what business Tzvetkoff is currently pursuing, but he has clearly shaken off  his 2013 bankruptcy.

He has come a long way from his arrest by the FBI in 2010 whilst attending a conference in Las Vegas, and even further from his online payment company Intabill which made hundreds of millions and enabled him to live a life of expensive homes, yachts and luxury vehicles at the height of his success.

Back then the still youthful entrepreneur’s company handled massive amounts of money for online gambling companies that he later helped the FBI to shut down when he was faced by the prospect of a 75-year residence in a US jail .

It was still a costly run-in with the US authorities; the Courier-Mail reports that in addition to losing his company Tzvetkoff had to pay $13 million before he was allowed to go free and return to Australia.

The newspaper reports: “Tzvetkoff was rumoured to have occupied a Manhattan apartment or two (with his wife and kids) for four years until his sentencing last year, when his case was discharged and he was required to forfeit $13 million to the US. He was then allowed to go home.”

Tzvetkoff has been joined on the Gold Coast by his parents, who have apparently bought four properties worth $1.75 million in the past 18 months.

In a statement – issued by the same PR company that handled his business when he was running Intabill – Tzvetkoff said he moved back to Queensland in the past few months to be closer to his family.

“As part of moving forward with my life, I am currently working on the staff of a new company in a senior IT role,” he said in the statement.

“I’m looking forward to just getting on with enjoying a normal life with my young family.”

The Courier-Mail article provides an interesting if lengthy recap of Tzvetkoff’s past business adventures and can be read in full here:
