Sports wagering data provider Betradar has announced that the Swedish online and land gambling monopoly Svenska Spel has launched its Live Odds Service.
The service is a fully automated and integrated in-running trading service that offers a broad variety of live betting sports and markets, covering 15 sports with over 12,000 matches a month.
Betradar secured the Svenska Spel business by competing in a public tender from the gambling group earlier this year. In selecting Betradar, Svenska Spel joins other major Nordic betting groups like Finland’s Veikkaus and Norsk Tipping.
Lennart Nilsson, the live betting product manager at Svenska Spel, said that market demand has stretched the getting group’s resources to the limit:
“We are now at a situation where Svenska Spel needs to extend the offer without increasing the use of internal resources,” Nilsson said. “In order to do so, we decided to co-operate with Sportradar who best met our tender qualification requirements.”
