With the liberalisation of the Swedish online gambling market just months away, the national regulator Lotteriinspektionen has announced that it is to brief interested parties on the “technical requirements and accreditation of bodies for inspection, testing and certification of gaming operations” on November 6 at the World Trade Center in Stockholm, Sweden.
Swedac, the national accreditation body in Sweden, will also be in attendance at the briefing to advise on the accreditation of laboratories, certification bodies and inspection bodies in accordance with international standards and regulations.
Our readers will recall that a total of 60 applications have been received and are being processed by Lotteriinspektionen, including operators like Kindred, Expekt and Betsson.
The regulator has additionally pledged to keep online gambling trade associations updated regularly with developments as the market opening approaches.
