A sports betting technology and content deal between provider Kambi and Mexico’s Televisa media group came to fruition this week with the launch of online sports betting operation PlayCityApuestas.com.
The launch follows Kambi agreements last year which saw the provider supply 16 PlayCity land casinos with retail sports betting facilities (see previous reports).
Kambi CEO Kristian Nylen said that the response to his company’s retail sports betting product has highlighted a real hunger among PlayCity players for sportsbook action.
Following the successful land based roll out, Kambi Group integrated its sportsbook solution into PlayCity’s platform, offering sports betting through both online and mobile channels.
PlayCity has supported the new sportsbook with a social media and digital marketing campaign which will extend to television and other media soon.
Earlier this year Kambi clinched a full services deal with Colombian gambling group Corredor Empresarial, including a new sportsbook for its online BetPlay brand.
