Online sportsbook Tempobet will be the dominant betting brand around Real Madrid and Barcelona football clubs this season after netting a significant advertising deal.
The emerging brand and its sister casino, Tempocasino.com, will feature on the European TV feed broadcast outside Spain throughout western and eastern Europe, including Russia.
The sister companies’ branding will be displayed in-game for 12 minutes during each away fixture the two clubs play in La Liga between the middle of August and next May, totalling 36 matches.
The six figure deal is possible thanks to technology which allows perimeter billboard advertising to be digitally modified by territory in order to connect global sport with local audiences.
Tempobet managing director Mark Clayton said: “La Liga is one of the most popular leagues in world football and we’re delighted to have secured advertising around its two hottest properties, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
“The ability to tailor that advertising to audiences where we feel it will have the most impact is particularly pleasing and will give both the Tempobet and Tempocasino a huge profile boost over the coming months.”
Tempobet, which has hired former Real Madrid star and World Cup winner Roberto Carlos as a brand ambassador, offers a comprehensive live betting service, as well as casino, virtual games, binary options and lottery.
Founded in 2007, it recently partnered with Championship newcomers Burton Albion and will appear on the club’s shirts this season after completing the biggest sponsorship deal in their history (see previous reports).
