Malaysian police in Kuching report the arrest of 13 people Friday accused of illegal online gambling activity on live streamed cock fights.
A police raiding party descended on a commercial centre premises Friday night, breaking up a ring offering bets on cock fights live streamed from outside the country, Sarawak Criminal Investigation Department Chief Datuk Dev Kumar told reporters at a press conference.
“Despite the ban on cyber gambling, some operators continue to take risk by organising such illegal activities, hoping that their outlet will not be detected by the police, but we will catch up with them” he warned.
The raiding party seized two laptops, a computer, two televisions, cash and other documentary evidence.
