The coming weeks will offer at least three new games for online slots fans, with releases from the studios of NextGen, Xin Gaming and BetSoft all due to arrive.
First up is NextGen’s Robin Hood Prince of Tweets, a five reel, 40 pay-line online slot which features the legend of Robin Hood, but with the Sherwood Forest outlaws replaced with well-intentioned birds who rob the rich to feed the poor.
The theme is replete with castles, treasure, a rabbit princess and villainous nobles, with Robin Hood the Wild symbol and Nottingham Castle the Scatter. Special features include the popular Superbet option and a Free Games bonus. Without the SuperBet, the game’s theoretical average return to player is 93.383 percent – but with each SuperBet level this improves to a max of 96.965 percent.
Betsoft’s latest Slots3 release also has an avian theme supporting a 25 pay-line, cascading 5-reel game titled, simply Birds!
BetSoft claims that the game employs a revolutionary style of reels that is visually striking, with cute, stylised birds flying in from the left to settle on telephone wires. Winning combinations of birds fly away while others settle into their places on the wires until no more wins are available.
Eleven birds, each one styled differently and presenting its own personality through individual animations, are the stars of the show, one of which is a Wild Bird that stands for all other birds when it appears.
The Free Flights feature can offer potentially unlimited free spins, provided that cascading winning combinations of birds continue in a chain. Any combination of 3 or more birds will result in a win.
Each winning flight of birds begins to fill a meter on the left side of the user interface, and once the meter reaches the fourth and highest level, the player will receive eight free spins. The number of free spins awarded increases with more consecutive winning combinations. Additional free spins can be awarded on top of the free spins already won.
A Double Up bonus feature allows for the doubling of any winning flight of birds.
XIN Gaming’s latest offering is an Asian-market focused 5-reel, 3-row, 25-line video slot titled Monkey King with a theme inspired by a famous mythological character from the classical Chinese novel ‘Journey to the West’, a story known and loved by millions in Asia.
The game features wild substitutions, four exciting mini features and progressive bonus spins, with the latter presented in a similar fashion to the interactive video game “Street Fighter” where players fight opponents to earn bonuses and level up to win multipliers.
