The Playtech-powered sports betting operator Titanbet has consolidated its presence in the British market by teaming up with The Sun newspaper to sponsor its popular daily betting column.
The sportsbook, run by Playtech’s subsidiary, PT Entertainment Services, is planning a number of initiatives to attract new customers in the fiercely competitive market.
Journalist Andy Totham’s sports betting preview, Tots’ Tips, is one of the most widely-read columns in the UK, with its Diamond, Donut, and Longshot bets familiar to thousands of punters.
Saturday’s paper carries an extensive look at the weekend’s football fixtures and will now feature prominent Titanbet.co.uk branding throughout.
The partnership also allows Titanbet.co.uk access to The Sun’s pay-per-view customer base through its online offering, with further social media opportunities currently being explored.
A Titanbet spokesman said that the company believes the quality of the betting content will increase awareness and credibility of the brand, as well as providing a daily presence in the minds of sports bettors.
Spokesman, Russell Yershon, said: “The Sun’s betting column will give us excellent exposure for the Titanbet.co.uk brand and great reach when it comes to sports bettors as we look to execute our launch strategy in the UK.
“Throughout the football season we’ll be offering exclusives to readers to use on the desktop and mobile platform, including topical specials on the big events.”
The deal with The Sun follows the company’s first UK horse racing sponsorship with Jockey Club Racecourses’ all-weather racetrack, Kempton Park Racecourse.
