Spanish sports betting and gaming technology provider Optima’s chief executive Jacob Lopez has been awarded Business Excellence recognition by the widely read Madrid-based gaming magazine Azar.
Making the award, Azar president Manuel Ortega saluted the key role played by Lopez in building Optima from a small company with just 12 employees in 2012 to a successful and internationally respected group that will top a headcount of 200 by the end of 2018.
Accepting the award, Lopez said the honour was shared by the Optima staff, and thanked his company’s partners and clients.
“I thank all those who have supported us, the Optima team, partners, clients, and the push of all those who try to do things in this sector in a different and innovative way,” he said.
Optima numbers Betfred and IGT among its international clients.
