Tropicana, the US land gambling group that is already active online in New Jersey in partnership with Betfair, has the social gaming vertical in its sights following a partnership agreement with San Francisco-based Ruby Seven Studios.
The project envisages free-to-play casino games in the online desktop and mobile social environment
Tropicana president and chief executive, Tony Rodio, said in a statement this week:
“We’ve been studying the social gaming sector for some time, and are enthusiastic about the potential to provide even more entertainment options by pooling Tropicana’s talent for delivering exciting land-based gaming and entertainment with Ruby Seven Studio’s extensive expertise in social and mobile game publishing.”
Michael Carpenter, CEO at Ruby Seven, said: “We are already at work on traditional casino style games with unique new twists to engage and entertain existing and future Tropicana audiences.”
