Trouble ahead for DFS in Texas?

There could be a daily fantasy sports storm brewing in Texas following the news that state Republican Rep. Myra Crownover has asked the state Attorney General for an opinion on the legality of the genre in Texas.

Crownover’s letter to Texas Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton notes that Texas law has “generally criminalized gambling.”

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, himself a former state attorney general, said last month he would be cautious about the state imposing restrictions on fantasy sports websites.
