Two more defendants in the Las Vegas Caesars Palace illegal sports betting case appeared in court as expected Wednesday (see previous reports) and were sentenced by presiding Judge Andrew Gordon.
Hui Tang and Seng Chen ‘Richard’ Yong emulated the guilty pleas submitted by their three colleagues Yan Zhang, Yung Keung Fan and Herman Chung Sang who were sentenced earlier this week.
Judge Gordon handed down similar punishments of 5 years’ probation, but more punitive fines of $250,000 and $100,000 respectively, along with forfeiture orders of $250,000 and $400,000, again respectively.
Prosecutors revealed to the judge that the online gambling ring netted $13 million in profits as a result of the illegal activity prior to being busted by the FBI in July this year.
