US games developer Spin Games LLC is looking ahead to a future in which it is possible that land casinos will become part of the Japanese gambling scene (see previous reports), signing a partnership deal with the Nagoya-based Japanese firm EIBIC involving games development and distribution.
EIBIC will assist Spin Games to create a new genre of Japanese culture-friendly games, providing Spin with assets and storyboards based on popular Japanese themes and content.
Spin Games will then further develop titles with a view to commercialising the games on the global market next year.
To support this commercialisation, Spin Games will use its ROC 3 RGS platform, which was recently updated with a number of new features and technological enhancements.
Kent Young, chief executive of Spin Games, said in a company statement this week:
“This deal marks the start of a new genre of game development and integration for us. My goal and passion both are that we, as a company, continue to develop and distribute more genres of games to give the players and operators more choice.”
Koji Yagi, chief executive of EIBIC, added:
“We are extremely happy to join forces with Spin Games to unleash the potential of Japanese themed and styled games; this will continue the natural progression in the proliferation of Japanese culture and ideas globally.”
