BetVictor chairman, Victor Chandler, interacts with British comedian Paul Kaye in the betting group’s latest television ad campaign, created by the VCCP agency, which won the BetVictor account after a four-way pitch in July this year.
The marketing publication Campaignlive reports that the series of television ads is themed on the idea “Nothing should get in your way”, and involves Chandler advising an excitable punter called ‘Maurice’, played by Kaye, to stop bothering him with crazy betting deals and simply go to BetVictor.com for the best odds.
Kaye made a name for himself in the mid-1990s as shock interviewer Dennis Pennis.
In its previous advertising, BetVictor has used TV presenter Paddy McGuinness, along with Chandler.
The campaign launches this week and will run across print and online, along with two 20-second TV ads showcasing the company’s football and casino offerings.
