In preparation for a heavier workload as a result of the point-of-consumption secondary licensing regime scheduled for the end of this year, the UK Gambling Commission has taken on experienced managers who formerly worked for Ladbrokes and Betfair.
Sue Harley, formerly customer services director at Ladbrokes, and Roger Parkes, previously the director of the group compliance department at Betfair bring years of front-line internet and mobile gambling experience to the table.
Parkes is already on board and has been working on the new licensing regime, whilst Harley will join as an executive director at the beginning of April.
