The UK Gambling Commission has advised of the commencement of a review under sections 116 and 118 of the Gambling Act 2005 of Cricket Bet Limited (cricketbetlive.co.uk).
Specifically related to remote betting activity, that part of the firm’s Operating Licence has been suspended as an interim measure whilst the review takes place.
An advisory on cricketbetlive.co.uk confirms the suspension in effect until March 21, 2013 adding that while the company appeals the decision, customer balance withdrawals may continue as usual.
Cricketbet was established in Australia in 1999 and has been co-managed in Australia since that date by Phillip Nott and his son Craig Nott. Expansion into the United Kingdom, headquartered in South West London, is managed by Brandon Allen. The firm holds licencing in the UK and Australia.
