The United Kingdom’s Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) have published a joint consultation on proposed changes to fees, from April 2017, for operating licence holders.
According to the consultation, certain licensing fees are expected to drop by around 10 percent due to efficiencies achieved following the implementation of the Gambling (Licensing & Advertising) Act 2014.
Under the revised proposal the UKGC expects fee reductions to apply to around 1,900 operators, no change to fees for around 1,000 operators and under 100 operators would be subject to an increase in fees.
