Unibet has big plans for Polish eSports event

The first shots in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive PGL Major Krakow eSports tournament in Poland are about to be fired, with major teams Astralis, Fnatic, SK Gaming and Faze Clan clashing for a $1million prize pool.

The action starts 21 July and runs through to the 23rd, and online betting company Unibet is not only accepting bets, but will also stream more than 80 hours of the competitions on the UnibetTV Twitch channel as the teams go head-to-head in what is probably the biggest eSports event yet in Poland.

Other sponsors of the tournament include TP-Link, Strafe, Zowie, Hyper X and Monster Energy.

The publication Esports Insider reports that in all sixteen teams will be competing, all qualified over the past few months in North and South America, Russia, Asia and Europe. The team that ultimately emerges as the victor in the 40-match tournament will take home a $500,000 prize.
