The American Gaming Association spent $641,621.09 lobbying the federal government in Q2-2011 on issues such as Internet gambling and online poker, a recent Congressional disclosure report shows.
The amount is $281,015.61 more than what the trade association for US land casino operators spent in last year’s second quarter and is $66,632.92 more than it spent during the first quarter 2011, reports the Associated Press news agency.
The latest expenditure disclosed on the AGA’s lobbying was filed July 14 with the House clerk’s office.
