US politician´s wife indicted

Eremian is alleged to operate a well established internet sports betting site from Antigua, using a bank account in the United States that was managed by his sister and facilitated the movement of funds to the value of over $7 million.
Prosecutors have revealed that Tierney is charged on four counts including tax fraud.
Reporting on the case, local media noted that her brother Bobby was apprehended by US authorities for tax evasion in 2000 in Antigua, and was recently again indicted for racketeering, money laundering and the operation of his Antiguan sports betting operation PlayLegal.com.
Addressing the court at her indictment, Tierney told Judge William G. Young: “I take full responsibility for what my part in this was.” Judge Young released her on a personal recognisance pending a hearing for sentence on January 13.
