Veikkaus OY appoints new CEO

Juha Koponen (46) has been appointed by the board of directors of Veikkaus Oy as the company’s new chief executive officer effective October 2, 2012.

Koponen joins Veikkaus from the Finnish Pharmaceutical Company, Tamro Group, where he held the position of president and chief executive officer.

Suvi-Ann Siimes, Chairman of the Veikkaus Board of Directors said Koponen was appointed for his wide-ranging experience in demanding positions within corporate management, his ethics and his inclusive leadership style.
