Johan Öhman is a name well known in the online gambling industry as a competent executive who was CEO at NetEnt between 2006 and 2011, and NetEnt and Betsson sales chief in the three years preceding that.
He holds a master’s degree in economics from Lunds University and an MBA from the University of Reading / Henley MC.
He left the online gambling industry to head network security firm Clavister earlier this year, but is back in the industry again with his latest appointment as business quality chief for daily fantasy sports technology provider Scout Gaming.
Discussing his new appointment recently, Öhman said that Scout Gaming is in a not dissimilar position to NetEnt back in 2000 in that it is addressing a new and rapidly growing market with an innovative solution.
“The social drivers behind the [DFS] game are easy to understand and the technological solution offers a smooth and easy integration for B2B customers,” he said.
Scout Gaming employs a staff of fifty spread throughout branches in Sweden, Norway, Ukraine and Malta.
