Two of the online gambling industry’s top virtual sports providers, VSoftCo and Kiron Interactive, have partnered with Italian retail betting giant Sisal Matchpoint to launch a dedicated football league satellite channel with a view to expanding the virtual sports footprint in Italy.
The channel will be available in Sisal’s 4,000 retail shops across Italy, bringing new engagement opportunities with local punters, and promoting an HD league format with multiple matches running at the same time, complete with high-quality graphics and immersive audio commentary.
Massimo Temperelli, head of the Sisal betting business, said in a statement Tuesday:
“Thanks to the profitable collaboration with Kiron Interactive and VSoftCo, Sisal Matchpoint is the first operator in Italy to offer the new league formula with new exclusive bets broadcast via HD channel. We launched the League (il “Campionato”) last August and it immediately attracted the favour of our customers.”
With four-minute intervals between each in-game week and a new league running every two hours, football fans will be well-served by the channel, Temperelli added.
Simon Westbury, chief commercial officer of VSoftCo, said: “Virtual sports are growing rapidly in popularity throughout Europe, and we are excited to launch our new football leagues product with Sisal Matchpoint in one of Europe’s foremost regulated markets.”
He said that the partnership represented added value in that the new football league product has also been made available online on Sisal’s website.
