Figures released Thursday by the New Jersey gambling regulator showcased more dismal news from Atlantic City land casinos, with year-on-year revenues for September 2013 down almost 13 percent.
The city’s 12 casinos won $240.2 million from gamblers, a decline of 12.9 percent compared with September 2012.
Table games revenue was down nearly 19 percent at $62.9 million, whilst slots revenue declined 10.6 percent to $177.3 million.
Eleven of the 12 Atlantic City casinos posted monthly declines, with the Atlantic Club Casino Hotel the only operation to show an increase, up nearly 4 percent for the month to $12.3 million.
For the first nine months of the year, the casinos won $2.2 billion, down 9.3 percent from a year ago.
