Will Hill establishes Malta office

Like bet365, William Hill is hedging its post-BREXIT bets with the opening of a satellite office in the Malta jurisdiction.

“We are setting up a Malta office and a small initial organisation for our international facing business post-Brexit. All current locations are unaffected by the new operation,” confirmed Ulrik Bengtsson, chief digital officer for William Hill.

William Hill’s Gibraltar office will continue to act as the company’s key operational hub post-BREXIT, Bengtsson confirmed, saying Malta, however,  provides an option for international operations should it become necessary.

The company is reportedly employing an “exploratory project team” with regulatory, legal and compliance roles at the Malta office.
