William Hill US has clinched a deal with professional ice hockey team, New Jersey Devils.
The multi-year agreement signifies the first professional sports team to partner with a sportsbook in New Jersey, a press statement reads.
In collaboration with the Newark’s Prudential Centre, a permanent William Hill Sports Lounge in-arena activation centre will be established, providing a sports viewing experience and account activation services during all Devils home games and the over 175 concerts and special events held at the arena annually.
While punters will be unable to place bets at windows and kiosks in the venue, William Hill representatives will assist bettors in downloading its betting app.
“We are thrilled to partner with the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center,” Joe Asher, chief executive officer of William Hill US, said. “With three retail William Hill Sports Books and our Mobile Betting app now available in the Garden State, engaging New Jersey sports fans is extremely important for us.
“This partnership provides us with a number of fantastic opportunities to connect directly with the passionate supporters of New Jersey’s hockey team.”
The deal provides multiple branding opportunities through in-arena signage, a strong presence on Prudential Centres scoreboard and promotional mileage across the New Jersey Devils’ radio and digital channels.
