UK bookmaker William Hill and Tom Waterhouse are declining to comment on renewed media interest in William Hill’s supposed acquisition of Australian bookmaker Tom Waterhouse.
Australian media reported a possible A$150 million offer for Tom Waterhouse in early July , however recent media reports speculate a more modest A$30 million price tag for TomWaterhouse.com.
InDaily.com reports that Tom Waterhouse has applied for the transfer of its Australian bookmaking licences to William Hill. The transfer will reportedly be decided by the Northern Territory Racing Commission (NTRC) at a meeting in Darwin today (Wednesday).
Another speculative report citing an interest from Ladbrokes in Waterhouse early this year was discounted by the UK land and online gambling company .
