William Hill has confirmed reports which surfaced last Thursday that it had hired the highly experienced Nevada bookie, Nick Bogdanovich, to lead its bookmaking operations in Nevada as director.
Bogdanovich has a reputation for being a bold and highly competent leader and was previously a member of senior management at Cal-Neva.
The operations under his control are Club Cal-Neva Sportsbook, American Wagering Inc. and Brandywine Bookmaking LLC, all of which were acquired by Will Hill last year for $55 million .
The acquisitions expanded William Hill’s already substantial presence in the Silver State; it has 159 operations that include a large number of betting kiosks.
Along with Bogdanovich, the staff at William Hill includes former American Wagering bookmaker Bob Davis, and Tony DiTommaso, who held the same position at Brandywine Bookmaking. DiTommaso was named deputy director of trading, and Davis was named senior trader in Las Vegas.
William Hill, the U.K.’s largest bookmaker, was granted a licence to operate in the state of Nevada last month.
