Winamax to sponsor French Ligue 1 football club

French Ligue 1 football club OGC Nice has signed a sponsorship deal with French online poker company Winamax.

Benefits for Winamax include logo exposure on the team strip over the 2015-16 season, starting early in August.

Winamax has similar sponsorship deals in place with Olympique de Marseille and Girondins de Bordeaux .

Financial details on the sponsorship have not been released, but observers believe the deal is likely to be worth a low six-figure sum to the club across the one-year term.
