Interesting things appear to be happening in Wyoming’s state lottery endeavours, according to a weekend report in South Dakota’s Aberdeen News.
In an article on the increasing pressure of competition from neighbouring states for gambling revenues, the newspaper notes:
“Wyoming law specifically prohibits scratch tickets and video lottery, which are two of the three game categories offered by the South Dakota Lottery.
“But the Wyoming lottery’s Internet site (http://www.wyominglottery.com/) currently shows links to other forms of online gambling including poker, blackjack and lotto offerings from other states and internationally.”
South Dakota lottery official Joe Willingham told the newspaper that the lottery has plans to respond to the threat by offering many more scratch ticket games this fall, along with higher pay-outs on scratch games.
