New York-based DerbyJackpot, a social gaming enterprise who launched private beta testing of its DerbyJackpot game in September 2012 has entered into a deal with Xpressbet LLC an American Advance Deposit Wagering provider to expand the product across another eleven States.
The game, already available in twenty-five U.S. States, allows players to bet real money on live horse races via electronic devices in an online, social environment and can now be played by eligible adults residing in California, Idaho, Kansas, Maryland, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.
“DerbyJackpot shares our passion for bringing horse racing online and enabling millions of people to bet on, watch and enjoy the sport from wherever they are,” said Xpressbet President, Ron Luniewski . “We’re thrilled to join with a company that is introducing horse racing to an entirely new demographic of fans through its fun, social game.”
DerbyJackpot claims the majority of DerbyJackpot’s registered players are new to horse racing and that 500 000 wagers have been placed through the site since its launch in January.
“Since horse racing is the only legal way to gamble online in the United States, DerbyJackpot is virtually the only online outlet for people who enjoy real world casual gambling, such as sports betting or the lottery,” said DerbyJackpot chief executive officer and co-founder Tom Hessert . “We’re thrilled that our relationship with Xpressbet and The Stronach Group allows us to reach even more people who have been waiting for DerbyJackpot to come to their States.”
Xpressbet LLC is a Stromach Group company, a prominent North American thoroughbred racetrack owner and operator; and pari-mutuel wagering systems provider.
