Yahoo launches eSports app

Yahoo Sports, already well-known for its fantasy sports apps, has extended the product range with the launch in iOS format of new app devoted to the booming eSports vertical.

Launched Friday, the Yahoo ESports app serves as a centralised hub for news, updates and highlights on anything to do with competitive video games and gaming, and provides users with news, league scores, live streams and real-time tournament broadcast coverage.

Games that are covered include: League of Legends, Dota 2,Counter-Strike: GO, Heroes of the Storm and Street Fighter V.

By simply tapping navigation buttons, users can check if there is a match on any given day, along with scores on previous matches, and videos of the match and tournament information.
