Yggdrasil awarded Gibraltar online gambling supplier’s licence

Swedish online gambling software provider Yggdrasil Gaming has secured a B2B supplier licence from the Gibraltar Licensing Authority, enabling the company to offer its gaming platform and slot games to Gibraltar-based operators.

Yggdrasil Gibraltar can now also host clients in the UK from its Gibraltar infrastructure, having also secured a UK licence in December 2015 with regard to its Maltese infrastructure (see previous report).

Yggdrasil is headquartered in Malta with offices in Gibraltar and Poland.

CEO Fredrik Elmqvist said in a statement Tuesday that the Gibraltar licence is an important piece of the jigsaw for Yggdrasil.

“Gibraltar is a hugely important jurisdiction with a large number of major operators and we are delighted to become part of the Gibraltar e-gaming community,” he said.
