Yggdrasil has released the first title from its game-changing global content curation YGS Masters programme, Niagara Falls.
Created by YGS Masters partner studio Northern Lights, the retro slot is inspired by the 1930s era of gaming and glamour, showering slots players in a cascade of fun features and multipliers that can lead to huge wins.
The classic 3×5 game features all the traditional slot symbols players have grown accustomed to over the years, including bells, fruit, lucky symbols and of course, the iconic BAR. If a gold coin appears on the last reel, a unique coin drop bonus is activated, which can be anything from free spins to wilds to a multiplier bonus, with every spin hinging on the last reel leading to endless excitement.
If three bonus symbols in the form of barrels land on reels 1,3 and 5, then the Niagara Falls free spins bonus is triggered, with potentially huge winnings dropping onto players’ screens. Also, if Niagara Falls’ unique Cash Fall bonus is activated, players can access cascading coins leading to even more colossal cash wins.
YGS Masters is a semi-open, invitation-only platform created by Yggdrasil. Launched in response to the need for differentiation and market specific content, it invites leading independent studios on a selective basis to develop and distribute gaming content on Yggdrasil’s cutting-edge platform.
In the last 12 months, Yggdrasil has signed six of the world’s brightest and best studios and continues to see strong interest from others who want to join the programme. YGS Masters, together with Yggdrasil’s own established offering, enables it to curate a global roadmap and provide the best games and user experience in the industry.
Stuart McCarthy, Head of Partnerships at Yggdrasil, said: “We are delighted to release our first YGS Masters programme game made by Northern Lights. Its unique theme, combined with an instantly recognisable name and global landmark, means Niagara Falls is sure to make waves with slots players all over the world.
“This release marks the start of a very exciting roadmap for YGS Masters products, and we couldn’t be happier to be working with Northern Lights and our five other partner studios, with many more to come.”
Andrew Goodale, CEO, Northern Lights, said: “We were the first studio to commit to YGS Masters and have greatly benefited from all the advantages that Yggdrasil’s platform, content provision and technology expertise brings, to ensure the launch of our game Niagara Falls.
“The slot is packed full of classic symbols and rapid-fire gameplay. It fits perfectly into the Yggdrasil’s portfolio of market-specific, differentiated products, and will soon be joined by many others in a rapidly expanding global content roadmap.”
