Zorro rides again in new Playtech slot

Playtech is about to launch a new 5 reel, 40 pay-line slot with a theme based on the Robin Hood-like character Zorro, a Mexican swashbuckling legend who battled the baddies in the 1821 Mexican war of independence from Spain.

All the characters from the movie are represented and are recognisable as the all-star cast, including Antonio Banderas, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Sir Anthony Hopkins.

The Zorro character was originally created in a 1919 story by Johnston McCulley, and was the subject of several monotone movies in the early days of movie making, but it was the big, bold Mask of Zorro production in 1998 that really brought the legend to life.

The game has the customary range of features but with Playtech’s slant on some, such as a randomly triggered Mark of Zorro Wild feature which can add up to 10 wilds on the reels; a secret cave bonus in which players are invited to select candles and click ‘whip crack’ at some symbols which reveal free spion and multiplier prizes; and multipliers up to 3,000 x stake.

Claimed RTP is just under 95 percent.
