Zynga makes executive appointments

Social gaming giant Zynga has announced a slew of new appointments within its executive team following a series of high-profile departures earlier this year .

–     Mark Vranesh, formerly the chief accounting officer, has been appointed chief financial officer succeeding David Wehner who has taken up a position at Facebook Inc.

–     David Ko, previous chief mobile officer becomes chief operations officer.  Ko will oversee strategy planning, international, infrastructure and operations of the company.

–     Barry Kottle, previously executive vice-president of business and corporate development becomes chief revenue officer.  He will be responsible for corporate and business development, distribution, strategic partnerships, advertising sales and operations, publishing and real money gaming.

–     Steven Chiang, previously executive vice-president of games has been promoted to president of games tasked with overseeing all games and new IP development across web and mobile.
