Social gaming firm Zynga detailed a 3 percent rise in revenue to $190.5 million in its fourth quarter report, largely attributed to the performance of its Zynga Poker and Words With Friends games.

“They [Words With Friends and Zynga Poker] weren’t getting enough time and attention,” Frank Gibeau, chief executive officer for Zynga said during an interview with GamesBeat. “There wasn’t enough investment in those. It really paid off in terms of putting our best talent back onto franchises that have been around for a while and reinvigorating our player base by innovating and adding features.”
Other casino-style products highlighted for their strong performance included the company’s Black Diamond Casino and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Slots brands.
